BOOKSTORE INFORMATION

(Hours of Operation, School Fees, Bus Passes)

REGULAR HOURS: 

The bookstore is open Monday to Friday as follows: 

  • 8-8:30 a.m.
  • lunch 11:50-12:40
  • 3:14-3:30 p.m

   * Bookstore hours will be extended at the beginning & end of each semester. Extended hours will be posted at that time. 

     Please refrain from using your cell phone while you are being served at the bookstore.

EXTENDED HOURS:

 END OF THE YEAR BOOK & LOCK RETURNS START JUNE 20, 2016 until JUNE 29th,  from 8:00 to 3:00 p.m.

 Books need to be returned ALL at the same time 

  • Do not leave the lock on your locker; return it to the bookstore
  • Do not leave books in your locker
  • Textbooks not returned by June 29th will not be accepted for return at the bookstore until next OCTOBER

PAYMENT OPTIONS:  The following options are available to pay for your student’s books and fees:  Cash, Debit, Cheque, Visa, MasterCard.

If other financial arrangements need to be made, they must be made through the Business Manager before coming to the bookstore and the student must be   accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please contact Mr. Relkow in the Main Office (403-314-2005) for an appointment if you will require alternate arrangements.

 

2016 - 2017 SCHOOL FEES:

School fees for the 2016/2017 year area as follows:

  • $ 41.00 Registration fee ($35 school bus transportation, $6 leadership - non refundable
  • $140.00 Program fee

The $140.00 Program fee replaces individual course fees & textbook costs charged in prior years. Included in this fee is a Book Rental Fee. If books are not returned, the full replacement cost of the book will be charged to the student's account. 

Please note that the program fee does NOT include the following:

Athletic fees,  CTS projects, Field Experience travel, Grad fee, Instrument rental, Parking passes, Safety Kit, Sketch book, Yearbook.

 

BUS PASSES:

  • Transit application fee of $75 must be paid by Sept. 30, 2016 - Click Here for Application Form

  • We will no longer be issuing bus passes each month.

  • Students will be issued a City of Red Deer “smart ride” card to use for the entire year.

  • What makes a student eligible to receive the “smart ride” card from LTCHS?  

         - lives 2.4 km or more from LTCHS, which is your designated school

         - if you live farther than 2.4 km from your designated school and 2.4 km from LTCHS

 

        * *  We are only able to provide the “smart ride” card for our eligible students**

  • Choices available: RESTRICTED - valid only on school days, no time restrictions

                                                          (free of charge after $75.00 transit application paid)

                                        STUDENT - no restrictions ($80.00 for the year after $75.00                                                                           

                                                            transit application paid)

**  Lost or stolen cards must be reported to the bookstore immediately so that the card can be deactivated.  A replacement card will be issued for a fee of $10.00. **

 

**  TRANSIT APPLICATION FORMS HANDED IN AFTER THE SEPT 30th DEADLINE WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE A SUBSIDIZED PASS, REGARDLESS OF THE DISTANCE TO YOUR DESIGNATED SCHOOL.  THIS  MEANS THAT A RESTRICTED BUS PASS WILL COST $47/MONTH ($470.00 FOR THE YEAR) AND THE STUDENT BUS PASS WILL COST $55/MONTH ($550.00 FOR THE YEAR) **

 

 

** IMPORTANT NOTICE re KEY STUDY GUIDES 

The bookstore will no longer be ordering the KEY study guides. Students & parents can order the printed copies OR the convenient online version SOLARO directly through the publisher. Check out their website atcastlerockresearch.com
