Gold and Bronze for the Raiders at 4A Volleyball Provincials!

The Lindsay Thurber Senior Women's Volleyball Team captured the Gold Medal on Saturday night at the ASAA 4A Volleyball Provincial Championships in Medicine Hat.  After a 2-1 record in the round robin, the ladies defeated Centennial in the quarter-final, Memorial in the semi-final, and finally Western Canada from Calgary in the Gold-Medal match.  We are so very proud of these amazing young student-athletes who represented Lindsay Thurber with class and tremendous Raider pride!  Members of the Women's Team include Journey Flewell, Chenée Lehman. Emma Holmes, Lauren Pasiuk, Kira Weddell, Jaiden Ferguson, Edyn Aasman, Riley deWit, Joelle Laforce, Jamie Lalor, Hayley Lalor and Natalie Vega.  Congratulations and thanks to their coaches, Kirsten DeZutter, Kate Archer and Robyn Froese.

 

The Lindsay Thurber Senior Men's Volleyball Team captured the Bronze Medal on Saturday at the same​ 4A​ Provincial Championships.  After going 2-1 in the round robin, the men defeated Edmonton Christian in 5 sets in the quarter-final, lost to Jasper Place in 3 sets in the semi-final, and then won the ​Bronze Medal​ game against Western Canada from Calgary in 5 sets.  The men represented Lindsay Thurber with an incredible amount of heart and pride.  Members of the team include Eric Moore, Isaiah Paterson, Aidan Kay, Sam Peters, Evan Schultz, Levi Heinrichs, Cody Noble, Andy Reed, Josh Fuerbringer, Jared Lower, JJ Graham, Jonah Vander Leek, Jacob Hicks, Josh Gagnon and Colby Nemeth.  Congratulations and thanks also go to the Men's coaches, Terence McMullen, Jayden Halsey and Tanner Rehn.
