Raiders win Silver at the Canadian Improv Games

We would like to congratulate our Lindsay Thurber CIG Team who played in the finals at the Canadian Improv Games in Edmonton on Sunday night. The team walked away with the silver medals, placing 2nd out of 21 teams from across Alberta. Our friends at HHHS took bronze, and Scona walked away with gold medals and the honour of representing Alberta at the Nationals Festival in Ottawa. Our Thurber students are registered for Nationals as a festival team (meaning that although they aren’t competing, they will attend all panels, workshops, and nights of play), so expect lots of wacky and creative fundraising over the next few months.

Thurber's own Jaret Pack was celebrated with the honour of the first annual Joe Vanderhelm Scholarship, being recognized for his selflessness, support and humility on and offstage.

Please congratulate these amazing humans on their stellar work!
