Temporary Online Learning beginning Monday, May 3

Further to the announcement this afternoon by Premier Kenney, beginning Monday, May 3, all grades 7-12 students in Red Deer will move to Temporary Online Learning for two weeks, or as health restrictions dictate. Online learning will be similar to what took place in early December.  The anticipated return to in person learning will be Monday, May 17.

Students from Kindergarten to grade six will continue with in school learning as usual.

Schools serving students in grades 7 to 12 will be communicating with students and parents tomorrow with further information.

Our priority is to continue to provide high quality teaching and learning for all students. We want students to be diligent in their learning to achieve the outcomes in their courses with less than two months of classes remaining.

We appreciate the work of students, staff and families as we work together to reduce the challenges presented with the current pandemic.

Again, more information on the pivot to Temporary Online Learning will be provided on Friday.
