The Students’ Assistance Centre (SAC) at Lindsay Thurber provides comprehensive counselling services including:

We are located above the main office in the SAC, 2nd floor room 2100. Counsellors are available during school hours. Appointments can be made by contacting Colleen Pogmore at the SAC desk or by calling 403-314-2016.

- Crisis Text Line - Crisis Text Line powered by Kids Help Phone is free, 24/7 support for those in crisis, connecting people in crisis to trained Crisis Responders.
- Help in Tough Times - Alberta Health Service supports
- Kids Help Phone - Kids Help Phone is Canada’s only 24/7 e-mental health service offering free, confidential support to young people in English and French.
- You Matter - You Matter is a safe space for youth to discuss and share stories about mental health and wellness, created and administered by the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. You Matter blog posts are written by a rotating Blogger Council of individuals between the ages of 13-24 that are passionate about suicide prevention and mental health.
- Dealing with Depression - This website is meant for teens who have been coping with depressed mood. This resource teaches a set of skills that teens can apply to their own life to overcome depression. It is meant to provide teens and concerned adults with accurate information about depression. This online resource is based on and complementary to Dealing with Depression: Antidepresssant Skills for Teens (Bilsker, Gilbert, Worling & Garland, 2005).
- Kickstand - This website offers timely, practical help for young people. Including mental health care, substances use support, primary care services, peer support and additional social services.
- School Mental Health - This website delivers high quality health literacy information, research, education and resources. Providing a variety of mediums that include videos, animations, brochures, e-books, face-to-face training programs, and online training programs. Our materials are specifically designed to meet the needs of children, youth, young adults, families, educators, community agencies and health care providers.
- Teens Health - Providing a safe place for teens who need honest and accurate information, this website provides resources on mental health issues.
- Teen Talk - Provides information for youth from a harm reduction, prevention education perspective. They focus on sexuality, reproductive health, body image, substance use awareness, mental health, issues of diversity and anti-violence issues.
- OK2TALK - OK2TALK is a community where teens and young adults struggling with mental health conditions can find a safe place to talk about what they’re experiencing by sharing their personal stories of recovery, tragedy, struggle or hope.
- Your Life, Your Voice - Your Life, Your Voice provides several ways for teens to get connected with someone to discuss any issue that is impacting them in the moment such as feeling depressed, contemplating suicide, being physically or sexually abused, on the run, addicted, threatened by gang violence, fighting with a friend or parent, or if you are faced with an overwhelming challenge.
- Youth Smart - CMHA Calgary's YouthSMART (Youth Supporting Mental Health and Resiliency Together) integrates collaboration, youth-initiated mental health learning opportunities in local junior and senior high schools. Find some amazing resources on stress, mindfulness, and more!
- Substance Abuse Support - The “Students & Young Adults” section gives information and resources about drugs, smoking, marijuana, steroids, prescription medications, and other topics.
